DESCRIPTION:Mackinac Island 2026 \n\nThursday\, June 11\n: Today is a travel day\, anticipating the excitement of the\nweek ahead and enjoying the company of old friends\, and meeting new\nfriends. After checking into the Courtyard by Marriott in Lacrosse\, WI\, we\nwill depart on the La Crosse Queen Cruise and enjoy our evening dinner\nwhile exploring the Upper Mississippi. \nFriday\, June 12:\nToday we will stop at Heritage Hill State Park in Green\nBay\, WI where we will take a lunch break and gain a little knowledge of the\nHistory of Green Bay. Following lunch\, we\nwill take a trip back in time and board a tram\nto tour the park. Various buildings will\nprovide us with a look back at the past and\nlife in Green Bay in the 1800’s. We will visit\na blacksmith shop\, a working Belgium Farm\,\nFur Trading Camp and more!\nLate afternoon\, we will travel to Gladstone\, MI\, and overnight at the Terrace\nBay Hotel\, located on the upper shores of Lake Michigan. Our evening\ndinner will be provided at the hotel. \nSaturday\, June 13: As\nour journey to Mackinac\nIsland continues\, we will begin by enjoying a\ncity tour of Mackinaw City and Mackinac\nBridge. Mackinaw City’s story has always\nbeen one of transportation —and of being a\nmeeting place for hundreds of years. We’ll see\nlocal landmarks where railroads\, ships\, and automobile travelers gathered.\nWe’ll hear tales of an era long ago\, visit Old Mackinac Point Lighthouse\,\nColonial Michilimackinac\, and hear about Mackinac Bridge\, Michigan’s\ncrown jewel. Following lunch at Audie’s\, it will be time to board the ferry to\nMackinac Island\n.\nWe will enjoy a Carriage Tour of Mackinac Island—an\nexperience that is by far the most enjoyable and authentic way to view the\nisland. Prepare for a tour like no other! We will be dropped off at Fort\nMackinac to enjoy a self-guided tour. The remainder of the day is yours to\nexplore the island on your own! \nSunday\, June 14:\nToday is the perfect day to relax and enjoy the island. You can\nchoose to enjoy a relaxing horse-drawn carriage and visit many historic island sites;\nwalk through town and browse the unique shops or sample world-famous Mackinac\nIsland fudge. We will meet at the Grand Hotel for the Grand Luncheon Experience\, a\nbountiful lavish display of food and beverages.\nSpend the rest of your day exploring all the charm and beauty that Mackinac Island has to offer. \n \nMonday\, June 15:\nThe adventure continues—enjoy another day exploring\, relaxing\, and making memories on\nMackinac Island. We will end the day together on the Sip n’ Sail Sunset Cruise. Watch\nas Mother Nature paints vibrant sunset colors across the canvas of the\nStraits of Mackinac! There is no better view of this awe-inspiring event\nthan from the deck of the Isle Royale Queen III. Sail under the\nimpressive span of the Mackinac Bridge while sipping on your favorite\nbeverage and listening to the sounds of summer. \n  \nTuesday\, June 16:\nThis morning\, we will take the ferry from Mackinac Island to\nMackinaw City where we will board our motor coach. Sit back\, relax\, and enjoy the\nbeautiful scenery as we travel to Shipshewana\, IN. Shipshewana is part of one of the\nlargest Amish and Mennonite communities in the country. It is a small town with a big heart\, where\ntradition meets community spirit. Whether you’re\ndrawn by its Amish heritage\, artisanal charm\, iconic markets\, or peaceful\nrural landscapes–Shipshewana invites you to slow down\, explore\, and\nsavor the simple joys.\nThis evening\, we will have enjoy a family\nstyle dinner and the musical\, “A Simple Sanctuary”. She prayed the day would\nnever come\, but when her past comes calling\, Melissa Jaes has no choice but to\nflee. Unique views\nfrom the water create an entirely new perspective of the city. We will see\n40+ landmarks including the Tribune Tower\, the Wrigley Building and\nMarina City.\nAfter a brief lunch break at Navy Pier\, we will depart for Waterloo and\novernight at the Holiday Inn & Suites.
