We will depart from Miller, SD, with additional pick-up locations to be determined. After checking into our hotel, Hampton Inn and Suites, Eden Prairie, we will depart for Chanhassen Dinner Theatre, where we will enjoy dinner and the production of Beautiful. Experience the captivating journey of Carole King in Beautiful. King wrote a string of pop classics for singers Aretha Franklin and James Taylor, as well as her own chart-busting solo successes. Beautiful takes you back to when it all began—on the joy-filled and emotional ride of a lifetime! Following breakfast, we will depart for the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. The Arboretum has grown dramatically over the years to include twenty-eight specialty gardens, forty-four plant collections, more than 150 permanent works of art, and a stunning array of 5,900 unique species, cultivars, and hybrids! Enjoy the morning walking the trails or join a tour guide on a narrated one-hour, covered tram tour on Three Mile Drive (tram tour not included). If you want to simply get around, check out the Bee-Line Shuttle, a hop-on-hop-off open-air ride. We will enjoy a “Flower Pot Lunch” at the Arboretum before departing early afternoon.
Midafternoon, we will partake in the Minneapolis Riverwalk Food Tour. We will explore two of the city’s trendy and historical neighborhoods, the Mill District, and St. Anthony on Main, situated at the edge of downtown. Learn the area’s history while sampling a variety of foods with ties to Minneapolis’s multicultural communities.
