Wednesday, May 27: Depart Miller, SD this morning and get
acquainted with new friends and reunite with those we know; (other

begin our journey south to Davenport, IA. After checking into our
hotel, Double Tree by Hilton, we will enjoy a group dinner at the
hotel.

Thursday, May 28: We will travel to the Cincinnati area and check
into our hotel, Embassy Suites by Hilton-Cincinnati River Center.
Early evening, we will depart for the Chart House for dinner. The
Chart House is one of the most magnificent waterfront restaurants,
offering views of both the water
and the Cincinnati skyline. The
riverfront restaurant combines a
beautiful setting with an upscale
atmosphere, making it one of
the finest restaurants in the
Cincinnati area. Catch stunning
views of the Daniel Carter
Beard Bridge at sunset while
you dine!

Friday, May 29: Following breakfast, we will enjoy a 2-hour
guided tour of Cincinnati. The tour begins in quaint MainStrasse
Village where we will learn all about the German heritage of this
area and hear about the famous folk tales of the Pied Piper and the
Goose Girl. Proceeding on to Riverside Drive we will view some
of the gorgeous old riverboat Captain’s mansions and hear about
the incredible tales of the Underground Railroad as well as the
tragic story of the Garner’s escape. We
will drive through beautiful Eden Park
then up around Mirror Lake where we
will be told the fascinating story of
George Remus. On to downtown
Cincinnati to view Fountain Square,
P & G corporate headquarters, the Taft Museum, and the Cincinnati Museum Center.

Next, we will travel to Petersburg, KY to spend a few hours at the Creation
Museum (includes lunch meal voucher). The state-of-the-art 75,000 square-foot
museum allows families to experience earth history as God has revealed it in the
Bible. Nearly 150 exhibits feature animatronic dinosaurs, talking heroes of the
faith, and professional displays that
honor God’s word. The museum also
boasts a fun-filled, 200-seat special
effects theater, planetarium, a petting
zoo, nature trails, and lots more. Following ample time at the museum, we will
enjoy an
unforgettable evening on the Ohio River with a delicious chef
prepared dinner, entertainment and breathtaking skyline views as we cruise
along the river.

Saturday, May 30:
This morning we will depart for Williamstown, KY to visit the Ark Encounter (includes lunch meal
voucher). The Ark Encounter is three exhibits in one – the massive Ark Structure itself, the incredible craftsmanship, and
the beautifully-fabricated teaching exhibits. The combination of all three will amaze
and inspire you to think differently about the biblical account of Noah’s Ark.
Early evening, we will depart for Newport, KY for a German dinner with entertainment
at the Hofbräuhaus-the first authentic Hofbräuhaus in America which was modeled
after the legendary 400+ year old Hofbrauhaus in Munich, Germany. Enjoy many of
the traditions from Germany and live polka music!

Sunday, May 31:
This morning we will enjoy a guided tour of the National Underground
Railroad Freedom Center. The Freedom Center shares the stories of freedom’s heroes, from
the era of the Underground Railroad to contemporary times, challenging and inspiring us all.
Its location recognizes the significant role of Cincinnati in the
history of the Underground
Railroad, as thousands of slaves escaped to freedom by crossing the Ohio River from the
southern slave states. Many found refuge in the city, some staying there temporarily before
heading north to gain freedom in Canada.
Following the tour, we will stop at Findlay Market –Ohio’s oldest continuously
operated public market and one of Cincinnati’s most cherished institutions.
Findlay Market is home to more than 50 full-time merchants selling meat, fish,
poultry, produce, flowers, cheese, deli, ethnic foods and more. We will enjoy
lunch (on our own) before boarding the bus and departing for Mt. Vernon, IL.
Once we reach the Drury Plaza Hotel, dinner and drinks await at their nightly
“Kickback”.

Monday, June 1:
This morning, we will travel to St. Louis and enjoy a
guided tour of the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis. The Cathedral Basilica
of St. Louis is a one-of-a kind work of art. With its lofty vaults and
radiant mosaics, the sheer scale of beauty is a thing of awe. More than a
dozen architects’ and artisans’ concepts and
works have coalesced in a
magnificently well-integrated and harmonious whole. From top to
bottom, front to back, the Cathedral Basilica draws one’s thoughts and
emotions upward toward the contemplation of something transcendent.
We will continue the excitement of the day by visiting the Gateway Arch.
Enjoying our box lunch aboard the riverboat, we will enjoy the view on this
relaxing daytime cruise that showcases St. Louis from the river.
Next, we will witness it all come to life in a 35-minute, award winning
documentary movie in Tucker Theatre. From the pouring of the foundation
to the placement of the final piece in 1965, the stories of the Gateway
Arch’s architecture, and its builders will leave you feeling inspired.
Building the Gateway Arch in St. Louis was a feat of innovation and
determination.
Midafternoon, we will depart for East Peoria, IL and overnight at the Embassy Suites-Riverfront. We’ll be having a
Back Yard BBQ for dinner at the hotel.
Tuesday, June 2:
Today we will travel to Nashau, IA for a tour of the Little
Brown Church in the Vale
and learn about its unique history. Following the
tour, we will enjoy lunch at the church.
Immediately following lunch, we will depart for home carrying with us the
memories we’ve made and reflecting on the unforgettable moments shared!
