Mackinac Island 2026

Mackinac Island 2026

Thursday, June 11
: Today is a travel day, anticipating the excitement of the
week ahead and enjoying the company of old friends, and meeting new
friends. After checking into the Courtyard by Marriott in Lacrosse, WI, we
will depart on the La Crosse Queen Cruise and enjoy our evening dinner
while exploring the Upper Mississippi.
Friday, June 12:
Today we will stop at Heritage Hill State Park in Green
Bay, WI where we will take a lunch break and gain a little knowledge of the
History of Green Bay. Following lunch, we
will take a trip back in time and board a tram
to tour the park. Various buildings will
provide us with a look back at the past and
life in Green Bay in the 1800’s. We will visit
a blacksmith shop, a working Belgium Farm,
Fur Trading Camp and more!
Late afternoon, we will travel to Gladstone, MI, and overnight at the Terrace
Bay Hotel, located on the upper shores of Lake Michigan. Our evening
dinner will be provided at the hotel.
Saturday, June 13: As
our journey to Mackinac
Island continues, we will begin by enjoying a
city tour of Mackinaw City and Mackinac
Bridge. Mackinaw City’s story has always
been one of transportation —and of being a
meeting place for hundreds of years. We’ll see
local landmarks where railroads, ships, and automobile travelers gathered.
We’ll hear tales of an era long ago, visit Old Mackinac Point Lighthouse,
Colonial Michilimackinac, and hear about Mackinac Bridge, Michigan’s
crown jewel. Following lunch at Audie’s, it will be time to board the ferry to
Mackinac Island
.
We will enjoy a Carriage Tour of Mackinac Island—an
experience that is by far the most enjoyable and authentic way to view the
island. Prepare for a tour like no other! We will be dropped off at Fort
Mackinac to enjoy a self-guided tour. The remainder of the day is yours to
explore the island on your own!
Sunday, June 14:
Today is the perfect day to relax and enjoy the island. You can
choose to enjoy a relaxing horse-drawn carriage and visit many historic island sites;
walk through town and browse the unique shops or sample world-famous Mackinac
Island fudge. We will meet at the Grand Hotel for the Grand Luncheon Experience, a
bountiful lavish display of food and beverages.
Spend the rest of your day exploring all the charm and beauty that Mackinac Island has to offer.

Monday, June 15:
The adventure continues—enjoy another day exploring, relaxing, and making memories on
Mackinac Island. We will end the day together on the Sip n’ Sail Sunset Cruise. Watch
as Mother Nature paints vibrant sunset colors across the canvas of the
Straits of Mackinac! There is no better view of this awe-inspiring event
than from the deck of the Isle Royale Queen III. Sail under the
impressive span of the Mackinac Bridge while sipping on your favorite
beverage and listening to the sounds of summer.
Tuesday, June 16:
This morning, we will take the ferry from Mackinac Island to
Mackinaw City where we will board our motor coach. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the
beautiful scenery as we travel to Shipshewana, IN. Shipshewana is part of one of the
largest Amish and Mennonite communities in the country.
It is a small town with a big heart, where
tradition meets community spirit. Whether you’re
drawn by its Amish heritage, artisanal charm, iconic markets, or peaceful
rural landscapes–Shipshewana invites you to slow down, explore, and
savor the simple joys.
This evening, we will have enjoy a family
style dinner and the musical, “A Simple Sanctuary”. She prayed the day would
never come, but when her past comes calling, Melissa Jaes has no choice but to
flee. Pursued and living on the run, she finds desperate sanctuary and surprising friendship in Amish country. Part suspense, part romance, A Simple Sanctuary is
a compelling story of love tested, the cost of freedom, and the solace found in
true community.
Wednesday, June 17:
Today will be a day of discovery as we explore the traditions and beauty of Amish life.
We will enjoy an all-day tour through the heart of Amish country, offering a blend of history, scenic beauty, and
authentic encounters. We will enjoy lunch in a traditional Amish home, followed by some time for shopping later
in the afternoon.
Thursday, June 18:
Following breakfast, we will start our journey towards home, making a stop in Chicago for a
guided tour on the Chicago Architecture River Cruise. Unique views
from the water create an entirely new perspective of the city. We will see
40+ landmarks including the Tribune Tower, the Wrigley Building and
Marina City.
After a brief lunch break at Navy Pier, we will depart for Waterloo and
overnight at the Holiday Inn & Suites. Dinner will be waiting for us at
the hotel!

Friday, June 19:
Before returning home this evening, we will make a stop in
Le Mars, IA and have a buffet lunch followed by a performance by The Browns. It’s truly a family affair when The Browns hit the stage with their music. They
are known for their heartfelt harmonies, energetic performances, and deep-rooted
faith.
