June 26 @ 8:00 AM - June 29 @ 5:00 PM
Outdoor theater performance with colorful stage lighting.

MEDORA MUSICAL
Friday, June 26: We will depart from Sioux Falls Friday morning (other pickup
locations to be determined). We will make a stop in Aberdeen for lunch
before going to Jamestown, ND. Midafternoon, we will arrive at the Frontier
Village. We will have time to walk around and look at the original buildings
from the frontier villages of North Dakota that are filled with antiques and
artifacts, creating informative historical displays. Walk through the Northern
Pacific Railroad Depot (1880), explore the Frontier School, Church, and Bank.
And don’t forget the gift shop,
where you can find North Dakota
treasures and handmade goods
from local artisans. Be sure to stop
at the General Store for delicious
hand-dipped ice cream, refreshing
kuchen, and other memorabilia.
Experience the United States’ national
mammal up close and personal when we
visit the Discovery Center. The North
American Bison Discovery Center tells
the story of the North American bison
through an introductory film, and
interactive and rotating exhibits about the animal’s natural history, cultural significance, and ecological impact.
Following hotel check-in, the group will enjoy dinner together at Buffalo Grill.

After lunch, we are off to Medora!
Upon arriving in Medora, we will check into
Rough Riders Hotel and freshen up for a fun-filled evening at the Pitchfork
Fondue. Every evening the chefs load steaks onto pitchforks and fondue
them – western style! Savor the steak as we overlook the Badlands from atop
a bluff at the Tjaden Terrace. The steak comes with fresh fruit and
vegetables, baked beans, garlic toast, baked potatoes, brownies, cinnamon
sugar donuts, lemonade and coffee.

Next is the Medora Musical! The
musical is the rootin’-tootinest show in all the west! Performed live and outside, under the Badlands. We will be
treated to high-energy music, guest variety acts from around the world, live horses and more!
Sunday, June 28: Start your day with a beautiful array of your brunch favorites—endless helpings of egg bakes, breakfast
meats and more. Then take in one heck of a gospel show with a full band and gospel
singers. The Medora Gospel Brunch is a match made in heaven and a wonderful way
to spend the morning.

Following the gospel show, there will be time to explore downtown Medora; there
will also be the option to visit the Chateau de Mores historic home. The Chateau de
Mores is a 26-rooom, two-story building that was built in 1883 as the summer
residence of the Marquis’s family. The Chateau is now a historic house museum and
contains many of the original furnishings and personal effects of the de Mores family.
Midafternoon, we will depart on a guided tour of Theodore Roosevelt
National Park where we can explore the colorful landscape and glimpse of
bison, prairie dogs, deer, and more.
Afterwards, we’ll have free time to relax and explore dining options on our
own.
Monday, June 29: After breakfast, we’ll begin our journey home—carrying
with us all the wonderful memories we made.
